Vastushanti is a sacred ritual performed to cleanse a home or building of negative energies and ensure harmony, peace, and prosperity. According to Vastu Shastra, this ceremony is conducted before moving into a new house, after renovation, or to resolve any Vastu defects (Doshas). The ritual begins with a Ganesh Pooja to remove obstacles and invite positive energy. A Kalash (sacred pot) filled with water, coconut, and mango leaves is placed at the center of the house to symbolize purity and abundance. A Havan (fire ritual) is performed, with mantras chanted to purify the space and balance the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space). Sprinkling holy water (Ganga Jal) in all corners of the house helps cleanse and energize the space. The northeast corner (Ishan) is considered the most sacred and should be kept clean and open during the ceremony. Performing Vastushanti with faith and proper guidance helps eliminate negative vibrations, bringing peace, happiness, and prosperity into the home.
