Vastu For Griha Aarambh
Griha Aarambh, or the beginning of house construction, holds great significance in Vastu Shastra as it sets the foundation for a harmonious and prosperous home. According to Vastu principles, the construction should commence on an auspicious day (muhurat) determined by a qualified astrologer to attract positive energy and ensure smooth progress. The first step involves performing a Bhoomi Pooja (earth worship) to seek blessings from Mother Earth and remove any negative energies from the land. The foundation stone (Shila Nyas) should ideally be laid in the northeast (Ishan) corner, as this direction represents purity and divine energy. It is recommended to start digging for the foundation from the east or northeast side and proceed towards the southwest to align with the natural flow of energy. During construction, the northeast corner should remain light and open, while the southwest corner should be made heavy and stable for strength and protection.
